Top quality since 1946
With a rich history dating back to 1883, TARCO® (formerly manufactured by Tarrant Manufacturing Company) has become a respected provider of highway maintenance equipment in the United States.
In 1946, as the highway maintenance market evolved, the company developed and patented the first effective salt spreader, the TARCO® Scotchman. A forerunner for material spreader designs, this product and other leaf collecting equipment were primarily sold to towns, villages and cities.
In 2007, Tarrant Manufacturing Company was purchased by The Fort Miller Group, Inc. bringing TARCO(r) brand name products under the Fort Miller Group umbrella.
In 2014, the company formerly known as Tarrant Manufacturing was merged with TYMETAL Corp. bringing all metal fabrication efforts under one roof.
Today: TARCO® products are manufactured by TYMETAL at The Fort Miller Group 500-acre campus in Upstate New York. The TYMETAL 63,000 square feet manufacturing facility includes a machine shop, laser cutter, plasma cutter, robotic welders, a shot blast facility, a downdraft paint booth, and 14,000-square-foot of office space. TARCO® as part of The Fort Miller Group, operates as an employee-owned and operated business, reflecting our commitment to a high-quality, long-lasting product.
Many have copied TARCO® but none have achieved the market prominence for endurance and longevity. This website presents our product line-up. If you wish more information on the process behind the product, please contact us.
